Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn is an American actor from the United States. Her most famous role was in the role of Skyler on the AMC drama Breaking Bad. She won the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and 2014 for Outstanding supporting Performance on a a Drama Series for 2013 and 2014. She performed the roles of Jean Ward and Martha Bullock, respectively, in The Practice. The actress was born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in 1968 Anna Gunn fell in love with acting during Preparatory School, before her family relocated to Ohio during the latter part of 1970. She spent a year at the British American Drama Academy and took classes in theatre in the theatre department at Northwestern University. Anna started out in Chicago performing in stage roles for many years. Then she moved to Hollywood, where she began her acting career in TV shows and films. Anna received her breakthrough in 1992 when she appeared as Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. After appearing as a Guest Actor in a variety of TV Shows and films, such as Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue in the 1990's, she was cast as Jean Ward as part of The Practice. Martha Bullock played two full seasons of Deadwood that was shot in the mid 2000's. Skyler appeared on screen in Breaking Bad (2008). Sully was the Deadwood film and other films also featured her. Gunn was also on the stage starring in the David Schwimmer-directed production of Sex With Strangers. Gunn also appeared in the audio drama podcast series of four parts called Numbered Days, which was launched in 2022. Breaking Bad often revolves around Walter White and Skyler's relationship. The strains and eventual ending mirrors the last years in the story of Walter White.
