Anoushka Shankar
Anoushka Shakar, an American and British sitarist. She won the British House of Commons' Shield in the year of her youngest and the first female to receive it. Alongside receiving nine Grammy nominations She was also the first musician of Indian origin to perform at the award ceremony. Anoushka is the rising star in Indian sitar. She is a student and daughter of the legendary Ravi Shankar. She was a child who bounded between London to New Delhi. In New Delhi, she made her debut at just thirteen years of age. In the following years, in Encinitas CA she attended high school, graduating with distinction in the year 1999. Anouskha still has a promising career in recording and performing even though she's young. Since quite some time, she performs regularly alongside her father. The first album she released as a solo artist, Anourag, was released in 1998. The album was released in 2002. her Grammy award-winning album Live At Carnegie Hall.
