Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman has been an outstanding professor of psychology since 1993 and director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. She has been widely recognized for her pioneering work in studying witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory within legal contexts. Professor Goodman's publications are extensive and she has been awarded numerous grants and is the recipient of numerous awards international and national levels. She consults with numerous nations and organizations around the globe regarding policy as well as the study of children's victimization within the court system. She serves as consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She was a part of several professional associations, which include those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) She is a founding member of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research into Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as the President of the The American Psychological Association's 3 divisions, Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Child and Family policy and practice.
