Taylor Swift, in full Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13 1989 West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.) American pop and country music singer and songwriter, whose stories of young heartache achieved widespread success in the early 21st century. Swift's passion for music was evident in the early years of her life. From plays for children to performing before thousands, Swift made rapid progress. Swift in 2011, then 11, sang The Star-Spangled Banner during a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. In the year following, Swift began writing her own music. Swift became inspired to create her own music by country music artists category, like Shania Twain or the Dixie Chicks. Swift's parents relocated her to Tennessee at thirteen after they sold their Pennsylvania farm. It enabled Swift to devote more time trying to find labels that would promote country music in Nashville.
